I'm a true believer that if you don't move well, you don't feel well. Suffering from chronic back and hip pain after the birth of my second child, I feared that the swimming, running, and biking days that I once enjoyed were a past memory. After traditional therapy failed to alleviate my pain and dysfunction, I decided to seek alternative treatment. I found Pilates for Rehab. Intrigued by the holistic, evidence-based approach of Polestar Pilates, I completed their comprehensive Pilates for Rehab program. The effect it had on my body was life changing! By identifying faulty movement patterns and replacing them with new, healthy patterns, I'm now able to live the active life that I felt I had lost.
With over 10 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, I'm thrilled to be able to offer Pilates for Rehab to my clients and patients. As the only Pilates-based Physical Therapy clinic in Mississippi, I offer a unique approach to rehab, wellness, and fitness.
I have a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center (2004) and a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Mississippi State University (2001). I am a Certified Pilates Teacher through the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) and received my Comprehensive Pilates for Rehab training through Polestar Pilates, International. I'm a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the APTA Private Practice Section, the Mississippi Physical Therapy Association (MPTA), and the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA).
Originally from Madison, I've lived in Starkville for the last 12 years. My husband, Kenny, and I have two young children and one four-legged, furry child. We love the small University community that Starkville provides.
